Addressing Xenophobia in 2015

Mr Mbodla initiated a concept of Social Cohesion with the theme “I have your African blood in me”, few months before the emerging of Xenophobic attacks in April 2015. This came about as a strategy to be proactive rather than reactive when it comes to this threat. He is determined to hold on to God’s instructions pertaining to people who sojourn in our areas and the promotion of Social Cohesion, Community Building, Public participation and elimination of racism and discrimination while building a (healthy) society.

The following Bible verses prove to be the source of this Decree.

The foreigner who resides with you must be to you like a native citizen among you; so you must love him as yourself, because you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God” Leviticus 19:33-34

So then you are no longer foreigners and non-citizens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household” Ephesians 2:19;

“You must not oppress a foreigner, since you know the life of a foreigner, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt” Exodus 23:9;

So you must love the resident foreigner because you were foreigners in the land of Egypt” Deuteronomy 10:19;
